I just read about a sort of map reset... This means that we are going to lose everything we build and our char too?

Why should I restart again? I mean, if the Admins plans another map update after 3 months, I'll lose everything again?

The game is alpha. They can't add new features without having to restart every now and then.

Early September is the current estimate, but it's very much subject to change.

The timeline is pretty well ephemeral. They've been measuring it in the number of development sessions they've been doing, and at last count jorb said there were going to be three more. Since it's usually two dev sessions per week (weekend? Not really sure), that gives us a rough arrival date of 'sometime before or in early September'.

Note that that should in no way, shape, or form be taken as a promise. In fact it should probably be taken the same way you'd take it from a vomit-covered hobo ranting on a street corner. Well, maybe jorb's a little more credible than that.

We do know that if we get any warning at all, there will be a big party at the Ring of Brogdor.

And like I've been saying in the flyers, Alts are welcome. This is because there will be beer and everyone will be there, so there's a good chance that someone's going to try to kill someone else... also, you can pack your main all nice and ready to go and then join the party with an alt full of chickens.
