Permanent character death : how do you deal with it

Greetings

so thats it, i died.
I have been playing H&H for 3-4 days intensively, all alone.

Yesterday i was roaming in the forest, got aggro'd by a Boar, lagged out and died in a swamp 10 tiles later... :l


I am no discouraged at all, i started a new character and got my house back, now trying to grind again some LP
And you, how do you deal with it ?
Are you more cautious when moving around ? do you avoid setting yourself to a full Change belief (300% LP gain but 75% stat loss)

don't die

otherwise, team up with some people. its much easier to get back on your feet with help from your friends, who can take over the 'chores' while you hunt up your lp back.

you can run faster than a boar on forest, grass, moor, or mud terrain. the 3rd run speed will allow you to get far away enough to lose agro. stay off of swamps if one is nearby. always carry a waterflask and maybe a full bucket of water.

you are able to do better stuff before you die. so story some 2nd clothes+equip.
you might be able to get your stuff back if the corpse decays (items drop on ground then)

Well I dealt with it just fine..I died from a boar attack also within the first couple days..Now though it would be much worse..Full change and alot of work is what it would be now..

I was lucky enough to know exactly where my body was and it being direct decedent I did not even need thief or wait to get my stuff back..

Now I do not go in the woods..I do all my hunting and forging from my boat..If it is not far off shore then I will go pick but other than that I stay on the boat..

died 3/4 times because of a bear and boar.. I just started over again like always. Yesterday I was sailing in my boat I disconnect and connect again, and I saw my character was deleted/died. I dont feel like playing now, hoping to get my character restored but I dont think Jorb or Loftar do that. So pretty pissed of by the god damn amount of bugs. I can live with the lag and downtime, but dying after a disconnect is just stupid :<

I've died once.

Lag related incident, I was hurt and annoyed at first, but, I quickly got over it.

Made a new character, got my 25%, built a tomb to my fallen ancestor and filled it with the corpses of the bears I grinded to get back to where I was.

I died from a cave-in and now I am way past my old stats.. This early in the game it doesn't even matter. I still go the full change because how else would you catch up? Once you have died you never make the same mistake twice.

In world 3 I died 12 times. how did I deal? bitched and moaned a couple times, but mostly it was just the thought of my char rising from his grave (again) and continuing on that I liked.
