This video reminded me loads of H&H

Basically it's a guy who tries to create a toaster from scratch. As in, actually getting the raw materials himself.

I'm both an economics student and a survivalist, and what this game represents is actually very interesting - how a human can survive and create economies, from absolutely nothing. You could drop all your items in the character creation room, and quite realistically, make your way up over a few months to a large village-based economy etc.

Cool video, but it's got absolutely nothing to do with H&H.

You can create something from scratch in H&H because it's a game and somehow magically a stick plus a stone equals an axe, and no explanation as to how you were able to remove that stone from a giant rock with your bare hands...

Just because you're clueless doesn't mean everybody else is.

I think it's sort of assumed that your character finds loose rocks lying around. It's just not practical for jorbtar to include little details like that just for realism's sake.

In theory you could of course make digging find random stone on a 1/10 basis, perhaps with some form of QL attached to it, which would either make an axe or wielded in hand for a few extra damage/allowing you to chip big rocks.

But I'm rambling.
