I think most silkmoths of any sexual persuasion abandon their children pretty early on in their development due to very short lifespan, so parenting rights aren't probably high on the agenda.

Although, having seen the effort gone into livestock mating and sound effects I don't doubt that some sexually frustrated same-sex moths close to death may start getting it on in your backpack with the full support of the devs. But I just don't think that whether the devs support it or not nature is going to find a way this time...


I would be happier if one gender of silk moths were a different colour though... just so I don't get my hopes up everytime I see a new silk moth and have a backpack of all one gender.

If you want, you can put larva into your 2 male silkmoths crate/cupboard and allow them to raise a family. Sadly they can't successfully have biological children. Be careful though, some people might protest and claim 2 male silkmoths can't possibly raise larva.
