What do you miss from previous Worlds?

Postby Lothaudus » Thu Jan 20, 2011 2:40 pm

You know what I miss in World #4? Brodgar. That strange, half-abandoned, complete cluster-fuck of a town where you started in World #2. It's giant walls that created a maze you had to navigate successfully if you wanted to pass through on foot.

It was also a good central spot everyone knew and everyone could get too. N00bs wouldn't wander far from it (you certainly never found them out in the wilderness) so you could always rest assured of running into someone there.

I also miss the friendliness of people you run into. Once upon a time if you ran into someone, it was cordial meetings and pleasant greetings. These days, they either start running away... or they don't speak English so they have no idea what you're talking about. :|

Yolan here (can't for the life of me remember my old PW).

I've tossed up giving that another go, but I'm not really sure I want the responsibility...

Having joined sometime in December, I didn't have the pleasure of experiencing brodgar. I find this unfortunate, but there are several issues that were brought up, weren't there?

Griefing, murder, clearcutting, etc.

I don't see a clear mechanic for removing this either, set a no-grief zone; ppl build walls around it.

Set no pvp inside the walls of brodgar; ppl range from outside.

It makes sense in a community thing, but besides that, it would be nigh on impossible to defend.

World 3..I miss it all..I miss my friends,I miss my character,I miss being able to actually hunt,I miss knowing where I was and where was safe and where wasn't..I miss the fun it was and the excitement it held..Can we have it back? maybe figure out a way to have different servers going and each world on a separate server..that would be cool..Then we could play the world we thought was cool and everyone would be happy.. ;)

World 3 was alright. But it was too easy. I kinda enjoy the new somewhat difficult World 4. Plus the Russians mass murdering makes it worthwhile to track them down. ;)

It was a good starter world for me, but it seems as though the difficulty is rising as i play. I like it, it's a challenge.
