murder change

Postby cpt1silencer » Tue Feb 08, 2011 7:56 pm

my village just got raided by a single guy in metal armor, he had no trouble chaseing us farmers down and murdering us. i was hopeing the death system would be tweeked so you get most of your xp back after a murder, as it seems that people that make it to the top can just run around sheering the unexperienced players back to the start, we hadn't made it far and now we're back to nothing.

If you are on full trad u get 75% of ur lp back , if ur full change then u get 25% of your lp back. I guess you went full change to get more lp but get a greater risk of losing the lp what you have earned. So yeah u can kind of get most of ur lp back.

Isn't that just unspent LP?

My last character died with only about 20k lp, and restarted with 3k, despite being a 100k lp character.

Note that you only get 25% of the skill values back, which is far less than 25% of the LP spent.

IIRC unspent LP are not returned at all. You are just refunded 25% of the costs of the one time buy skills.

Should you suspect to be killed dump all your LP into a personal claim, that way you can get them back after death.

i dont really want to play anymore, this games becomeing a big human hunt, alot of people runing and hideing and a group of well armed killers running around after them. that seems to be the point, get skills, make better quiality items, eat food for stats, go kill your neighbors. i like the building and makeing stuff, i dont like how you cant escape situations if your not a fighter, i'd rather get a skill for escapeing then trying to compete with some killer at what he dose best.

There are plenty of options to defend yourself and find safety within a good working community. The start of a new world is somewhat more lawless than it will be in later stages when big factions will enforce their laws and random griefers won't stand much of a chance anymore. Hopefully this time around there will also a well meaning big power.

Until then invest some time and ressources and brickwall yourself in. Keeps away most griefers. Also read the security guide in my sig.

Man, that'd be awesome to be the leader of a hegemonic state.

You should expect this kind of thing since it's still a relatively young world and there really aren't really any 'real' social, societal, personal consequences for killing everyone in sight.

Alpha testing and such.
