Color me Observant, but i do believe that night is lasting longer than it should.......its not April is it?

By my watch, it's day 357 of year 7 - so around Dec 23.

As the (northern hemisphere) winter solstice is Dec 21, it would be most appropriate for the nights to be longer now.
