at the start of the new world, everyone will come back and play because things are even, they believe they have a chance to make it big and be powerful.
which is true in some cases, but mostly, unless you strike super lucky with your Q Nodes or unless you are part of a large group, you'll never become powerful enough to be known across the entire community.


As the game goes on, people realise this and quit, get raided and quit, get murdered and quit, or have found the animals keep killing them and quit.
and so, the game population balances back out to the dedicated players who work their way through all that shit for their slice of the pie.
of course, new people join all the time, but nowhere near the amount as a new world.
