Just an idea

So my town produces enough excess items, mostly food and seeds and some random Armour or tools every now and then so to save space and keep things organized i had an idea, Outside where our gate/dock is, i constructed a little "doormat" with a few flax and poppy flowers to brighten the place up. By this "doormat "are 2 runestones, one telling them about our village and the other says to take a gift and have a nice day

i started with 2 crates and filled them with food or seeds, nothing big really we need everything we have but i know someone out there would use these WWW's or seeds or food and so on.

So eventually Ive noticed people stop by and chat, nice way to get to know people and found a lot of neighboring people that way and got friendly with them. sometimes i wake up to fill the gift boxes only to have a gift for me! i put those containers outside and fill them with gifts now too.

Now i have a dozen containers usually always filled with useful items and items we dont use, ive even thrown in some leather and decent Armour every now and then

Not a "huge" amazing original idea, just a way to remind you to spread some joy

You made the intelligence error of providing to potential enemies of the knowledge of what you may actually possess in your village. Never give up information for free.

Ignore them, note how newish their accounts are? except for the guy right above me. while it is a little risky to show others what you've got, its always nice to be generous.

Be nice but be careful about being nice. It's a lot of fun being a good neighbor but never sabotage your own defenses by giving people tours or standing still talking to them while they're aiming a bow at you.

haha yeah i realize im sort of fueling enemies, but i doubt they could do much with the items i give out. i more give out stuff i throw in the river so things like seeds and a single piece of leather or something for the noobs :p so its not like its a super secret ingredient or anything haha but il be sure to watch out, none the less we have a brick wall so i dont worry much

And then some douchebag comes and drops every single thing from the containers on the ground 20 minutes after you put everything there it's empty again and then you lose faith and give up hope for actually helping out people.

When that guy comes, he comes, until then Puff gets to have fun being nice. It's good that he enjoys it and good that he's helping other people out. Ideally, no one is funding their war against newbies with his hand outs and who knows, maybe no one will shit on the parade this time? It's a lot to hope for but it's something nice to think about.
