Infinate map, and levels

Postby farmchamp » Sat Aug 29, 2009 8:44 pm

Currently, with this finite map, there are rings of different leveled monsters, but with an infinite map, only the high leveled can explore the rest of the world. Can you make going north from the ROB take at least 10 times longer for it to become mordor, or whatever? This would let noobs start far from the ROB, but not get killed instantly. Also, increase the decay in these areas by a large amount, to prevent wicker basket griefing and such.

I would think that decay would be fastest near the RoB

I think our little champ here is looking at the old map, and doesn't know about any of the (not so) new civilization.

Very. Farmchamp, I really don't know why you have so many problems with wildlife, I've been playing for a few months and I've never even been attacked once. Maybe you should try not living in a forest or something? I lived... in the middle of the plains I guess. Nice little chateau and nothing but cows and chickens to bother me. And I live well away from Brodgar.

I would guess he went south, which is where the steep drop in civ level is..
As it is right now, the north is a lot safer than ..well most other directions from the RoB

Why? Civ level would be lowered anyway in that area with people building camps/villages near the rob.

I'm afraid this is impossible...

One does not simply walk into Mordor.
