Anyone else feel like curio takes motivation away?

Postby at0mix » Wed Mar 16, 2011 10:07 am

I don't know if it's just me, but since world 5, I find myself so unmotivated to actually DO anything. Like, once I've found all I can find for where my stats/skills are at, I just...don't play. In world 4, I'd forage, wander, build stuff, and love it, because getting the LP made it worth it. In world 5, I just don't really care to do anything.

Ultimate solution: Play another game. I hated the curio system the first day (I suck I know), but I realized that it actually isn't bad once you get across a certain line of boredom.

Well, I figure I'll have more fun once I have more int, and more curios, and more skills, but since I just started, it's 99% sitting. Plus I'm hearing that there's like infinity more griefers because of some exploit? And no, I don't want to play another game, I've played H&H since world 3, and Ill love it forever.

No, see, that's not fun for me, I don't want destroy the world, I want it to be more fun. I trust the devs, they're great, and I hope they'll do the right thing and change this somehow, I don't want to give up on this game, but if it stays this boring, I may have no choice.

Do you people not have any friends? My buddies and I just chill around exploring, fishing, building, you know? Playing the game. All you are missing is a little number popping over your head when you do something, the game is still the same.

I have just enough time to log in to farm those curios then I need to log out due to my busy schedule. Last world I logged in to do what I want and gained lp while doing so.

I shall join Total Doomination to help destroy this world!

Down with the communism!

But it's not the same, I can't do NEARLY as many things, I need to wait for my LP to get the skills. Plus LP takes longer to get, yet all the skills cost the same amount, so I can't even go around foraging, and using that LP to increase my exploration and just keep going and going. I used to be able to do that for like, hours, now all I can do is wander and pick up the occasional spindly taproot, and can't increase my exploration because I have to wait like 8 more hours before I can afford more of the very basic skills I need, and after that I'm sure more hours of waiting to get the other skills I need. It's just tons of waiting.
