What gets me though is when you're traveling down the river.

It's like "bro...i don't even have rage FFS". Makes me want to kill them.....

I mean, cmon. Do anything but beg. If i was going to kill you i'd just like it more if you begged first really.

Instead, if you're in no situation to hearth or run, offer the person meat or whatever the best item is your carrying (besides good gear). However that might motivate the person to kill you if they knew you had lotsa good stuff and you were just giving it away.
