I know I have seen at least two... In fact, I live right next to one.

There are most likely many more though. I would say 5 villages minimum.

I would rather not say where the one I know is. If they wanted their position to be known, they would have made their village known. That and I don't really want to be bothered yet either 8-)

Don't forget, the village (I think, future City!) of Brodgar is just a stones throw away from the RoB, to the north and west a bit. Only about 20 seconds walk.

All are welcome to join and live there. See the thread titled 'Brodgar' in the politics board.

Main goals: Become a center of trading, crafting, and gatherings. Friendly close town for Newbies.

EDIT:

Our Gates:

Guys, right now, Brodgar is walled off, and the gates have claims on them. We are a bit of a closeted community, which seems counter to our goals. The reason for this is that we are currently in a delicate stage, getting basic layout set up, and getting people a basic range of important goods, etc.

In fact in the near future our gates will be permanently open, and we will be guiding players in here from all around the world to meet and trade. So, any stranger, from anywhere, will be able to freely walk into our city, and around. No accosting. No questions.

Inside our town, individual houses will have their own private walls/gates, and we will also have areas for private workshops for artisans/warehouses for merchants, etc. Communal crafting/farming will be avaliable to a small extent, for those with the key to the right area.

Anyway, the idea is to try a different model for a community. One based on openness to the outside, and freedom of people to emmigrate and immigrate much more easily. We will also be trying to get a scale going that was never seen in the previous world. The current city limits will expand quite a lot. As part of this, the elected lawspeaker (once we get elections going), is going to have to work with the community to craft a basic body of law, such as is needed when we have more strangers living together.

Some pictures:

With a massive amount of help, Brodgar began to take shape directly after Ragnarok.

Two days on, housing is now going up. In the long run, each house will be protected by its own pallisade/brick wall.
