Malware infection at H&H Forum, but easy to fix

Postby Flyffywambler » Mon Apr 11, 2011 10:48 pm

Much to my surprise, when I tried to go to the forum from the home page today, my Avast antivirus blocked the connection, and alerted me that the web page is infected with the backdoor trojan Script-inf.
Since I didn't get the message earlier today, I guess the infection is recent.

However, it should be no real problem.
I was lagging behind on downloading my windows security updates, and after doing so, installing them, and rebooting, my AV does not block the forum anymore, or give any alerts.

So if any of you are experiencing the same: get your Windows security updates.
I'm glad I have that AV, or this might have just slipped through.
Ready to wamble!
