When we ram the wall it's going to break the corner-post and chain break all the walls around it, allowing anyone access to the main area. If we had the materials for a cornerpost then we would have done that and made our own little entrance, but frankly, we don't care.

If you just had the gate facing east, just south of the corner post you built off of, you would have to take the risk of it not collapsing all the way. Freshly repaired palisades if I do recall are less inclined to crumble beside battered tiles.

EDIT: My apollogies, I see now you can ram the unclaimed section. Unless he moves his claim over.

It is still stupid, flip the square and don't need another cornerpost just build it straight into the other wall. . .

But then you don't get a gate to your mini-palisade.
I can find many good reasons to have a gate instead of relying on hearth porting.

I'm against gates, and the people who use them.
