Lol @ a new character acting like a smart ass to a casual player, who probably didn't realize the new forum. Most maps based in the How Do I section, if I recall.

Sorry, I wasn't aware that my ability to use a forum is somehow dependent on the age and value of my character. Which skill do you think I should raise before being allowed to post on the forum?

there is nothing wrong with new players posting, but GhostOfZed meant your sarcasm was unnecessary.

its just that threads on mapping used to be in the other section before, and those who dont come to the forum often dont tend to realize we have recently got the brand new Wizards section now. (and by "map" you cant search any threads for some reason.) moreover, the thread wasnt stickied before for quite long, either, iirc.

so, it is rather natural that new forumers can easily find it while casuals miss it, expecting it to be somewhere else he/she had seen before. going sarcastic without knowing the fact got on his nerves or something, i guess.

Don't worry about me, I'm not easily offended.

Also, the criticism isn't entirely unfounded, though if I had wanted to be a smartass I would have just linked to the search instead of providing the answer to the question. A bit of smugness should be permitted though, especially since I have myself looked for more than one information in the "How do I" forum that was later found in the "Wizard's Tower".

And I just love to see the old fallacious "new guys should be timid, quiet and in awe of all the pr0s"-attitude again. You tend to miss it until you join a new forum.
