game i've played, there comes a time when a player has seen and done everything there is to do.
i started playing h&h about halfway through world 2. i was probably one of the first new players to start after the "wilderness spawn or hearth secret" way
of starting, and thankful that i never had to try to escape from the treeless island of brodgar

i then had the incredible fortune of making friends with the first player i saw, who took me under his wing and taught me that there was more to this game
than farming and shooting bears. vampiro taught me how to fight, and how to stay prepared- he used to randomly attack me as i was farming or doing other things around the village as a "gut check". back in those days there was no sparring either, it was all live combat

towards the end of world 2, he pm'ed me a screenshot of a wayneville villager he killed outside their gate, along with the loot from it - thanes, monocle,
steel plate, etc. vampiro taught me that there was no difference between us and these top villages. he showed me that anything is possible as long as you're always willing to reach for more.
i've had the pleasure of meeting many other interesting folks during my year and a half on this game, and i'd like to say a few personal words on my way out.
to jorb and loftar - thanks for making such a great game, and letting us all try it out for free. it's been one hell of an awesome ride. i hope that any
other endeavors you take on in the future are as successful as this has been for you.
to stickman - thanks for being my first "real" trade partner, i always wondered if you knew that the clay i traded you was from a spot we stole from some
russians. i do wish we had kept in better touch but it never really seemed the same after you found out i joined up with the goons.
to rage (killface) - we may not have always seen eye to eye, we had our problems here and there but i know you were always looking out for what's best for
your team. it's a difficult thing to find in this game, and true team players are what separate the successful from the weak. if you're still playing at this
point, i hope wherever you end up leads you to find again what was fun about this game for you.
to el gato - you're still a faggot.
to oddity - one of the best pure fighters i've ever met in this game, i enjoyed immensely our spar at nople, but i enjoyed even more the game of cat and
mouse at xweetok's manor and zero town

to AD - what would a game like this be, without some badguys in it? thanks for being the great villains that you were, even if koya always tried to deflect
that image. no hard feelings about killing me at castle mcmanus or at stronghold, i'm pretty sure about 75% of my kills in my h&h career were russians.
to sabinati, mighty, sotsa, exewu, and the rest of the goons who probably wish to remain unnamed here- thanks for taking me in as part of your own, and treating me like family. it always was a laugh a minute playing h&h with the goons and i couldn't think of a better group to have played with for the second half of my h&h career. best of luck to all of you, and i hope you never forget who you are

last but not least, i'd like to give a few words of advice to the next generation of h&h players.
remember always that your most valuable resource isn't your clay or metal, but your people. my old mentor always said "what makes you stronger, makes me stronger" and in this game more than any other i've seen, this is the truth. help each other out - when the world reset comes, the only thing you get to take with you into the new world is the friends you've made along the way.
and most importantly - one day you all will, like me, retire from playing h&h. when you look back on the time you spent in this game, you're not going to
think about "hey, remember that time i made all that blueberry pie", or "remember when we built that palisade?" you're going to think about the fighting, the territory wars, the victories, and the defeats. so my advice to you all, more than anything else, is to live large and play to create memories.
go big or go home!
