Are you sure this isn't just on forest terrain?

Anything that is stationary can't be build on forest anymore, and everything decays faster when not on stone. So making stone under brick walls is smarter in the first place.

its not smarter, palasade must be drivin into the ground to work. you cant drive a log through stone with our feeble lil hearthling bodies :V
