Hi guys, i'm a new player. Sorry for my bad english (and btw, any Italian players here?). I've always been searching for a true sandbox MMOG (possibly free XD), where the player's politics/decisions could influence and change the whole game world (like factions, village/city building, wars, economic systems, nice skill development). I'm tired of all those crappy korean MMORPGs with pretty 3D graphics but horrible gameplay (farming, item shop, no originalty at all).I think i'm going to give HnH a serious try, but i'm a total noob... i will die several times, but i think it's worth it. Maybe i'll find nice people to associate with.

Chances of meeting that particular person is pretty low.
But welcome to the community, the best pieces of advice that can be given:
1. Beware of most( but not all) russians
2. For a new player, you should apply to a nice village in the forums to help you learn the basics, then decide whether hermiting or village life is for you.
3. Have fun is the most important
4. Read the wiki (http://www.ringofbrodgar.com)
5. Read the stickies, and keep Infprmed of most things on the forums
6. Have even more fun

Here is what you do; first, walk in one direction until you reach the end of the word. Then, find and claim a cave. Walk around in it and look for an open chamber. Build a timber house inside of it, and put as many layered and spaced brick walls around it as you can. Then, buy black skills and feel free to loot and rob most anyone you like.

Don't buy swimming, you drown when you run out of stamina and new characters (with low CON) run out fast.

Get Yeomanry before you stockpile things (why have wealth if you can't secure it?).

Don't afk, especially not outdoors/in a boat/in a mine.
