Curiosity system is BRILLIANT

Postby Shask » Sun Jun 05, 2011 11:29 pm

I started in W3 and played mostly in W4, I have to admit that I'm now seriously impressed by the new changes made. Anyone else?

In terms of pure gameplay - I much prefer it over the old grinding system (although there will always be elements of grinding)

In terms of realism/enjoyment - it never made sense to me that you go from a clueless hobo to a master of all skills capable of creating cities and swords just by digging soil out of the ground for 50 hours :D

Well it's doesn't really make sense that you go from a hobo to a "Master of all skills" by staring at random items for hours either.

But the curio system is awesome.

tbh i don't really like it
there's no instant gratification from curio's

i think there still needs to be a form of instant LP gain

cause it's like wow sweet i found a rare curio! time to reap the rewards in X hours...

why not just forage for that single instant
curio too? =D
Why not have all curios instant too =D
Why not spend all your day looknig for curios
instead of living or playing the game too? =D
why not buy and sell instant LP so that you
can horde all LP into one character and create
an un killable demon character too? =D

Why not grind all day too? =D

Curiosity system is fucking great.

I just think that it either:
1)Needs to be supplemented somehow, possibly.
OR
2)Needs to be seriously rebalanced, the idea itself is great, but it's implementation here could be better.
