pearls (best use?)

this may belong in the "how do i" but its more of an opinion than answering thing so the in should suit.


pearls. what's the best thing to do with them, should you just study them straight away, or invest them in something better, like a trade for useful things, or a necklace??

i just got my first of many to come (until now ive been to lazy to bother picking all the mussels)
but im unsure of the best way to use it?? what would you do? :mrgreen:

necklace first is the most sensible way of dealing with your first pearls

Pearl Necklace will give u , in the long run (if u survive that long) more LP than 20 pearls worth of LP. So yeah pearl neck first, then rings (if u can find the gold for it), once u get those you cna study or trade w/e extras u find.

yeah, I agree, go with the necklace first.

also, according to some rough math (i went with 350% instead of 360% for these calculations, or maybe it was just 300%?) If you have twenty pearls, and you study them, at full change/peace, you can get 305,000 in only 1 day. as I said that's a rough version of it. also, go with the necklace first. the benefit of having it is worth it. like avu showed.

Got gold? Rings first.
No gold? Necklace first.
Trading might even be better than using them for LP. While their LP/Hr might be great, the actual LP you get from a single pearl is NOT so great and not worth it's rarity as opposed to selling it to some other guy who needs one for a necklace and will pay more because he can get more use out of it this way.

Like (almost) everyone else I would go for the necklace first.

After that, it depends on your situation.
Trading may be worth it if you can get items that (either directly or indirectly) grant you more LP than studying the pearl.

example: buying better clay, to make better smelters, to make better metal, to make better metal curios
