Project Zomboid

Since H&H is an idie game, thought I might turn you all on to another game I'm watching Project Zomboid.

Essentially it is a zombie survival game that is impossible to survive. The pre-alpha FREE DEMO is out now.

Enjoy!

Played it, not that great.

I love a good Zombie Survival, but this lacks in most aspects. I'm not sure why, but just thinking about the gameplay gives me a dry taste in my mouth.

Might be worth a shot once they've bugfixed *everything*.

Shotgun aiming is horrid. World is tiny. User Interface is terribly blocky and slow to get around in. Etc.

In the game and developer's defense, it's pre-alpha. Meaning the only reason they even offered the free demo was because people pirated the game in order to sample it, and Indie Stone wanted to make a Minecraft-esque type move by offering the game now for $8 with all the updates and full game for free as it matures.

I think it has a ton of promise with the XCOM type graphics and cool premise.

Y'know, alot of games have done that before Minecraft... Why does everything and anything Indie have to be compared through Minecraft nowadays?! Yargh!

As for the fact it's pre-alpha, ergo why I said "Bugfixes". Once these are tied up, I'm sure it'll be decent to play.

I do like the graphics. My laptop-no-video-card can run it, without burning out.
