Any way to prevent this from happening? I've cut down most of the nearby trees but it still seems to occur. Does planting a tile as grassland and then plowing it keep this from happening?
Any fixes would be helpful.

There's no real way to stop it :/
If you see the area around the RoB, even without trees nearby, plowed tiles get reclaimed by the forest.

how about paving around your farm? Or does pavement also not work?

I circled my plots in stone paving and the plowed tiles still revert to forest.

I'm pretty sure that pavement is permanent up to this point and only plowed tiles will revert to forest. Now I did read somewhere that you can plow on grassland and it will not revert into forest OR grass, but I could be wrong there.
