hearth fire difficulties

since all that has happened in the past few days
my village members and I have tried to log in
cannot log in where logged out and no hearth fire
only option spawn in wilderness
once spawned in wilderness have full travel weariness
so all have been resting until we can hopefully recall to village

is anyone else experiencing this?
since we are not getting to our village anytime soon
i thought i would see if this is a common issue
