Why isn't anyone (even if you have a bad voice) actually doing these as voice overs?

So, I've just recorded myself singing (without the background music, for once), a tribute to Jorb and Loftar, if not a plea for them to return to us from Salem's Development.

Hopefully I've earned the ability to make a thread of it's own for this, and that I've done both the community and the original song proud with it...
...If not, I'll just have to rerecord .
