Driving Lessons

Postby Projeear » Mon Jul 11, 2011 10:59 pm

I'm curious, what progress did/are you make/making, with driving lessons? Is anybody currently taking them? How are/did you handle them, stress-wise? Did you enjoy it?

I've stocked up my munnies the last couple of months so that I can afford two lessons a week. Had two last week, having my third tomorrow evening. I'm shockingly looking forward to it.

On my first lesson, I turned the car around half-way along a road :D.
On my second lesson, I was going through the gears easily and doing 50mph between two towns, handling Islands and everything...

...My Car driving instructor is awesome... But she's a woman... :|
"Fuck Logic" moment.

I'm really quite interested in hearing how others handled their driving lessons in the past, and how long it took them to pass?

Don't have a license yet, but I do have a permit. I failed the test once (only written is needed for a permit), but passed after a week or two of good study. Well, it was actually more like a week or two of pissing away my time and then cramming for my next exam two nights before.

I think I can pull it off again.

It's not driving I hate. It's all the crap that goes with that license: insurance, car maintenance, speeding tickets, etc. When that cop said I wasn't driving in a 'safe and prudent' manner, I told him I was handling the vehicle just fine and it had another 40-50 mph before it went beyond my ability to handle it safely on public roads. Now I don't drive. City buses here suck! :(

driving is fine, whats annoying is gas and constantly having to repair something or other on your vehicle at the most inopportune moments

lol idiot. even if you can "handle it" that doesn't mean you won't mess someone else up with your bullshit
