What's your favourite virtue and vice?

Postby SaintGilbert » Tue Jul 19, 2011 1:12 am

You probably know a vice is something you derive great pleasure from that can hurt yourself and/or other people, and can disgust other people.

Stuff like smoking, drinking, screwing, schadenfreude, annoying people...

A virtue is something that may or may not suck bloody balls to do, but which can make you and others feel good but which certainly helps you or others.

Stuff like helping others, consoling others, patience, trust, enduring hardships, being honest with people while intending to help them.

What is your favourite vice, and your favourite virtue? It doesn't have to be any of these. Be honest though. Please?

Probably my favourite vice is... *sigh* masturbation. I'm gonna be honest. It feels so good! But it's not right. I waste my time wanking when I should be looking for work and doing my homework.

My favourite virtue, though, is charity. It pleases me when I can share what little I have with people who want it. And it pleases them, to, and they benefit from it.

Is this a confession box, or did I walk in on a wrong thread?

My vice is probably being a Sarcastic bastard, evidently. It's jolly good fun, but it probably pisses some people off.

My virtue has to be my charity - alas for my lack of coin available. I once gave a whole £20 note to one of those war veteran donation boxes held by an old man on the street.

You forget? Or maybe I never told you? I'm a Catholic. We actually believe in doing something productive with our sperm - except in moments of weakness.

vice; smoking, drinking, and annoying people. can't choose one.

virtue; free translation service, but the beneficiary often has to put up with my vice along. maybe its regarded as vice.

Only if you enjoy annoying them. Still, you're helping others. And I'm sure they appreciate it.

Vice: Talking a lot, I like to talk and I always get scared I annoy people even though I don't meant to

Virtue: Loyalty and helping out my friends and village in any way possible.

petty theft and charity. also loyalty. you gotta pick who you steal from carefully. you don't steal from those you are loyal to. I also enjoy violence against others. I hate mercy and yet I can feel compassion for those who do not beg for it. but mostly its petty theft (as long as its not important or something that belongs to someone I halfway respect) and charity (as long as they don't ask for it.)

Favorite vice/virtue in general or our personal vice/virtue we enjoy the most?

If general, vice: Avarice ; Virtue: Wisdom

If personal, vice: Sloth ; Virtue: :V
