I've been on the internets since early 90's newsgroups.... things seemed more noble, purposeful, and more useful discussions perhaps it was just the rose colored glasses of a neophyte idealist... but this really puts things in more down to earth terms about everything on the interwebz communities:

Through the years I've been many of those things I guess....

For some reason I busted out laughing most from "the archivist", "the sisters", "pinko", "royalty" and few others... I've never been the archivist as far as I can recall... but back in my newsgroup days when I thought the internet was a place for honest debate among most people acting on good faith in honest intellectual discussions trying to arrive at a plausible consensus on "important" matters...

later realizing its mainly an arena for intellectual masturbation, attention whoring, "validation", execution of arbitrary power, tribal group think that has archetypal characters that organically form time and again to fulfill various social roles that have little to do with the subjects actually being discussed and have everything to do with self-image, mere entertainment, and social dynamics rather than honest attempts at understanding or curiosity of a given topic...


the "artiste" is a good one... "philosopher" hehe

ZOMGZ I WANT A MMORPG with leveling with the best classes you can chose from to play.... skill based I guess... success percentages based on skill levels in flamebaiting... logical fallacies, social engineering, wot attacks "wall of text"... depending on what class... philosphers, nannys... big dogs etc... get different special attacks....
