condolence on a game creator's death

Postby Tonkyhonk » Tue Aug 02, 2011 4:53 am

i am not quite sure if any of you know of his name.

Miyaji Takeshi, one of the major Japanese game creators, died on July 29th at age of 45.
news article on his death (in Japanese)
blog article of his mate, Endo Masanobu, from "God of Game" (in Japanese)
he was known as the ex-CEO/President of G-Mode (the first mobile game company), also known as the chief director/developer/programmer of Game Arts products, such as "GUNGRIFFON ", "GRANDIA", "SILPHEED", and so on. he was one of the founders of GAME ARTS Co.,Ltd. along with his brother, Miyaji Yoichi.
no article mentions of the cause of his death, had a private funeral already, a public farewell party is planned later on.

jorb, loftar, and all the game creators/developers out there, please take care of your health!
dont work too hard, or your fans(or to-be-fans) wont be able to enjoy your art works.

My prayers go out for him and his family. God bless him; hope to see him in Heaven. :(

Really.

It is gratifying to see the games industry and community honour the passing of this great artist.
He lives on through his work.
