So, to my knowledge you can't walk on another person's hearthfire. I tried using this to my advantage, but apparently it didn't work. How did somebody get into my house? They stole a ton of my containers ;<. Also, to kick me while I'm down - I just got off of my boat while on someone's property, so I lost it. Laaaame. Jerks took mah chickens@@@@

Also, I just went up the river a bit, and found an abandoned boat, plus my dead chickens in a chest, along with a few of my items.

It looks like there might be space to walk between the hearthfires that are there.

If you land a boat on someone's property, as long as you don't pick it up and carry it out of the property, you can go back into the boat and row out with it (with vehicles it retains ownership to the last pilot, until it is moved).

Doh... now I'm trapped in a mine or something. I saw a ladder, right clicked it, and now when I try to go up it says "there is no room at the exit". Guess I have to hearth home, goodbye other boat ;<

That you might not be able to do so don't mean someone else can't get passed them.
I know ... I had a Sleeping Beauty behind a door ... but that did not stop someone from dropping a <..censored..> message in my crate in the room.

Protip: Hold shift so you can place your hearthfire in front of the door.
