Strange lag

I'm suffering with strange lag in game every couple of minutes, it's not your normal server side lag..This is the framerate dropping to a horrendous level and the only "cure" i've found is minimizing the game and bringing it back up..it stops it for a few minutes but then it's back. Has anyone else suffered with this problem and cured it because i would really apperciate it if anyone could tell me how to stop this :/ Cheers

Just to add. This is probably very important. I am using enders client v05.06.11

Ctrl Alt Del, check if there's a process called DWM.exe running. Cancel it, cancel it again (It will reassert itself). That helps when I get that stutter lag....
