So what's W5 like?

Postby wolf1000wolf » Mon Sep 05, 2011 6:54 pm

So... haven't been near this HnH world since W4 and was wondering how things are with the new world and curio system.

In your opinion, is the game less grindy now? Compared to the old LP system, do players progress faster or slower in gameplay? (At 1hr/day, 3hr/day, no-lifer level)

With all the new items (mostly curios), is the game more interesting for casual players/explorers?

Is there a capitalist counter revolution to the socialist era? ;)

Whats the largest mega construction project going on/completed?

Thanks~

Curio system is great, hard to bot for curios, etc. You progress faster because you don't have to grind trees all day. You can actually do something WHILE gaining LP.
My son, walk not in the way unarmed; because thou knowest not when thy enemy shall come upon thee.

Depends on what you mean by grindy, now getting lp for everything has changed to getting lp from curiosities, which you still have to acquire. I think it's become less of a grind, but some people might disagree.

Yes and no. I think individual characters progress slower, but no-lifers can now level multiple characters at the same time.

Casual players not so much because the curio system is different from basically every other advancement system and increased an already high learning curve. Explorers it's always been interesting for, and the curio system now rewards them even more.

World 5 is like a big bowl of chocolate icecream...except that it isn't icecream.

Curios get u LP fast as hell once u get established, though the world has become a little stale considering the constant abuse of vaults.

Hm... thanks for the responses!

@ burgingham: Sherbet? =3

@ bmjclark: Vaults? I was never an upper tier player so dunno whatcha mean. I was under the impression impenetrable vaults are nuked.

But if stale = no crazy fighting all over the place, thats a plus for me. ^^

Vaults aren't technically impenetrable...but they might as well be right now. Theres room for rams, it just doesn't really matter. There's not really any big fights that take place (occasional skirmish but nothing major), but there is alot of griefing and people bash palisades for the lulz now a days. So it's pretty much build a brickwall or be screwed right now.
