I think it changes at 20% hp or something.
The ones who see things differently.

I believe bears (or the ones I kill) have around 1,000 HP. They do seem to go berserk at around 20% life. It takes me about a quiver and a half to kill them. Mordor bears give 6,000 LP adjusted by your learning %. Once you can start hitting them reliably, it's honestly just a matter of time to find and shoot them.

Yeah. If you have the time and skill to hit, you can kill anything.

It seems that people have gotten pretty far in this short time, playing 24/7,
and leveling is a *lot* faster now with PB's added.
I noticed you said some people settling on the east side of The Lake, in Mordor,
and there's no way in hell I would have done that before.
I'm just curious of how strong people have become. :)

by 120 arrows, you mean shots, right? can you remember how many hits it took?
you definately seem to need tea and a good supply of quivers^^
with marks 25 in ring 5 (i guess) it took me about 60 shots, but i cant really tell how many hits i got.
as a result, im SO looking forward to the new dev session, with arrows straight flying into quivers. crafting and filling 40 arrows is a pain in the ass.
Not sure, sorry. I think i was hitting about 50%. maybe a bit less.

I wonder if any MELEE fighter managed to kill bears already. (besides devs who spawn themselves axes)

out in ring 7 I have to say it would be incredibly impressive to take on a bear melee. they seem to hit for about 80 damage per swing, meaning unless you have a con up in the 60s you are taking one hit at most, even in the best armor. That said, with 50ish Marksmanship I take about 60 shots to kill a bear, I no longer run out of stam.
