NOT from the maker of minecraft

Postby Onionfighter » Mon Sep 19, 2011 3:38 am

Just thought I would share this: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bun ... ?ref=video

I know it isn't nice to post a link just so others can laugh, but this game, with what seem like aspirations of being similar to what H&H is:

There has never been an MMO with this degree of freedom and I think people are going to be really surprised by the amount of stuff that they’re actually going to have control over. The only thing we’re doing is providing a canvas and it’s up to the community to do whatever they want with it.

Yet just by judging by their concepts, this game seems dead on arrival. Maybe it could make some money, but it definitely seems like it will not be a good sandbox game.

would probably be worth playing.

Sounds like it doesn't even have pvp let alone pve, just straight out building random things with cash and doing stuff with exp? Doesn't sound too exciting to me.

Also it mentioned gaining exp and cash via traveling to different location and those locations sounded like places in real life so basically if you're not mobile in real life you won't get far ? or did i misunderstand this and that's not how it worked.

So in a sense... Its like how many games on face book just tweak the graphics and make it to where you can get xp and gold for visiting real places.
Yea... I'll pass.

Gotta agree that it sounds like a facebook game. Not even laughing at that as that seems to be an acceptable model for how to make games these days as it turns a good profit for little work and creativity.

The question for me is: Why should i build a city? Is there a (ingame) gameplay element besides building and socializing?

Looks like a complete flop to me. And talk about the annoying bubbly childish graphics... But no wonder, Disney and Blizzard has their hand in this.

The guy in the video sounds like the sandbox concept is something he just made up, and not something others made before him.

God, looks dull.
