Should i be taking this precaution?

I just harvested my first crop (giant pumkin) and rwalized i had no hat on. I hated going around with no hat on, so i was going to make a spruce cap and saw a Jack-o'-mask. I was so amazed, beacause it looked amazing with the other items i had on. On the way back to my house i met a pair of hunters. We had met before i think but thay didint recognize me. Thay were way better equiped then me and were very slow to talk to me. I asked why and thay informed me that greifers and bandits wore these masks, but it looked so awsome!

I love the mask, but I dont want people to attack me on sight, im not sure if thay will but its a possibility. So my question stands, should I be taking this precaution, or should i be wearing it openly beacause it looks so amazing? hmmmmm,mmm

That's silly, newbies without proper headwear put on pumpkin masks; it's a phase we all go through for the novelty. Pay them no mind and enjoy your pumpkin mask. Also kin your friends.
