Removing the coal from the steel crucibles, despite the fact they were 3/4 finished?

That's LOW.

EDIT: Really, dude, this kind've stuff would be fine if the game was finished or whatever, as you'd be preventing us from gaining some kind've domination over the map. But we're just playing and testing as we go along, trying to help Loftar and Jorb iron out bugs.

So far, it sounds like existing characters may end up surviving all the way to the developed game. Even if this is not the case, a wipe does not prevent the carrying over of 'social assets', and so things done today are likely to still have an effect in the future.

I do, however, appreciate that we should be trying to test things out. However, other people are also making steel (which I will hopefully also get the chance to steal, sometime :). Also, I consider this an important test in itself, one of a gameplay mechanic. While your attitude seems alright to me, there are those who consider sabotage in any form to be griefing. I ask those people to read Jorb's original post on steelmaking, it states "If the crucible goes out, or if all coal units are removed from it, the steelmaking process is reset." Now, think about this. For what other reason would anyone remove all the coal? I am reasonably sure that, while not necessarily encouraging it, Jorb was well aware of this possibility in advance. I am not one to break rules (I have shown that I will even punish myself for breaking a certain code of honour), and if the staff actually say 'for the moment, please don't sabotage steelmaking, let's test everything out', then I'll comply.

It's an alpha, the staff can't be expected to have thought of everything, so - instead of making a bug report about it - you decide to try and attack a group of people because "they're ruining your fun"?

Here is a offer for a bounty -

Anyone who kills shockedfrog PERMANENTLY will be rewarded. The goodies will be specified later, this act of theft is a game mechanic, and so is killing you.

So when you die, have fun grinding your skills again asshole.

I say we run him through. Devs. Would you be so kind to implement some form of pike? (Jokes) HARG HARG HARG!

EDIT: I'm not a part of your group but I understand how annoying it must be to griefed so hard like that. So myself and my blade will be on the lookout for ShockedFrog.

No, he set up a claim in front of a house, so that he could go inside and log out, to teleport back to his hearthfire. By doing this, he managed to cover ANOTHER GUY'S hearthfire, and stopped him from being able to log in.

Then, actually, he's doing what he's supposed to be doing in an alpha - he found a bug, or at least a feature that may need tweeking/exploring. Having a claim be able to cover another's hearthfire doesn't quite sit right, but maybe it was intended.

While I think he's earned the title of twat, I can't argue with the fact that his alpha is our alpha and he's just testing things out in a different way - hopefully it will lead to a better game experience for all of us.

Please don't give him more ammunition to justify his abuse of unintentional game mechanics. This stuff would've been smoothed out over time, anyway, as people did it accidentally.

I apologized, made it clear it was an honest mistake, and did all I could to sort it out, an act of good faith that some members of your group decided to take advantage of. You are clearly biased towards your community mates, to the extent that you refuse to believe a thing I say or see me as a human being.

Greg - apart from the unnecessary asshole remark, it's nice that some people are going about things the right way. I will probably be under a new main name again (keep in mind that loftar has stated he plans for all new characters to have new names in the future), but I look forward to the chase once you figure out who I am.
