I seem to remember being promised on-demand auto-generated new supergrids. All we've got now is, what, 9? Still in alpha, and already bringing on the hype... Tsk tsk. =p

I know, I know. I should be adding on-demand generation. Pending that, though, I'll start generating new supergrids right now. I'll put them in one by one, so you'll notice when the invisible wall goes away. There is a problem with all the new minimaps it will generate, though. We should probably get the server a larger hard drive.

What?? Ofcourse we need minimaps, its impossible to go anywhere without them. Might as well play blindfolded.

Although I agree that a bigger map would always be nicer, with all the people complaining about lack of mines.

You have a new cartography skill, use that to your advantage.

Putting new mines only in the farthest supergrids will not fix anything in this respect. The people with the ability to explore that far (i.e. the players who have been around longest) will still have an incredible advantage over new players. A few high characters will get to the new lands and build a great deal of mines before lower characters ever get a chance to go searching.

I'm not saying more maps is a bad idea, but it won't fix the mine problem for newer players.
