Hi guys,

I am by far an expert on combat, but I have found the best way to learn combat is to get out there and expereince it, you win some and you loose some, however in Haven loosing in combat can cost you almost everything, that is why I have decided to try and set up a crash course in combat for those of you who wish to learn combat, but don't want to experience the pain of death.

I have been setting up the infrastructure for an arena for the last few days after my recent death to to the evil Ainran and this should be completed fully soon. This thread is mainly just to get an idea of the people who would be interested in joining in.

Most are welcome, although there will be some requirements:

- You must have read the HnH combat guide made by Dataslycer, which can be found here: http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/vie ... f=2&t=6518
- Must not be a complete fresh character, you will need at least 20 UAC or Melee combat (this may change) and have all combat skills. (attributes do not matter)
- Must have a positive attitude and a willing demenour to learn, combat is hard, don't expect yourself to go pro instantly.

Obviously this hasn't been well thought out yet, but again it's just to get an idea of how many people would be interested and if it would be worth my time and effort

Well, it's for everyone, I'm sure everyone can benifit if different types/levels of skill join in.

This is not a recruitment thread for a faction against the Ainran, this is just combat training for those who wish to have a chance of protecting them and their things.

I had an idea like this a while back. I enjoy combat, and dont have nearly enough people to spar with. Even when i do find people our stats are almost never even, so it might be better to use alts for training. Anyway, my idea was to afk with a handful of alts and get like 10 uac and every combat skill on each of them (with just trespassing for tricks and ruses). Then they could all be trapped with their hearth fires in an underground arena somewhere, and have their account info and passwords posted on the forums, or PMd to people in a group like this. Would be simple and low risk, as well as actually fair because everyone would have the same stats/skills. But yeah, i'm too lazy to actually set up something like that. Anyway, goodluck with this, hope you teach some noobs how to fight back .

If your training consists of relying on your stats being
even, then you will fail. Be confident in your ability
to kill someone with far higher stats than your own,
that's how real fighters are born, practicing to kill the
gods.

Last time you came face to face with me you thought
i was a cocky russian, and you died fast in a 1v1. You
should have expected my stats to be higher than yours
no matter what, instead when i got you to leave your
boat and fight me on the shore you opened with a punch
and i did not, and you ran a short distance before dying
=p

This. The last person i had to fight had about 200-250 more UA then me. He's dead in a forest somewhere in the south western corner of the map . You should never rely on having better stats then anyone. Because there are people who have yet to die and will destroy you if you do =p
