Why do you people enjoy griefing/murdering?

Postby Bladex1200 » Tue Oct 25, 2011 3:24 am

I'm just curious, really. I'm not going to judge you. I'm just honestly curious as to why you derive satisfaction from killing other Hearthlings. It makes sense from a gamer standpoint - if people didn't ENJOY killing, then why would FPS and MMORPG with PvP games be so successful? Nevertheless, the idea interests me greatly. I myself am a pacifist and will only fight when attacked in this game.

Im so excited us noobs get a chance to fight back now. I was starting to get kind of put off by how far me and my group were behind. But man are we happy to be put on equal ground. We found a cave :0 I hope we don't get murdered for it one day haha.

This is Haven and Hearth we're talking about here. It is not a normal MMO, the major basis of the game is the fact that there are no set rules. Everything is player ruled. If you commit a crime, it is someone else's choice whether or not to stop you or chase you down.
People love the game for that. They love the freedom, the ability to do what ever the hell you want. With that freedom, they love fucking people's shit over too. There is always a part of you that wants to do this.

it's part of the games mechanics. why would you only choose to play 80% of the game? that's just dumb.
