I think hes asking if theres no goldmine at all, but thats just an assumption :/
The world I love The tears I drop To be part of The wave can't stop Ever wonder if it's all for you The world I love The trains I hop To be part of The wave can't stop Come and tell me when it's time to
I myself haven't seen any, nor heard of anyone actually claiming to have one (at least, no one with any authority). I would only be mildly surprised if there was only one or two such mines in the world. Of course, combine that with the aledgedly poor quality of gold ore, and there might be a hundred gold coins out there.
Heh. I wonder- how much would someone sell for one GP? Several Milita Swords?

No no, he's right. Who would accept a gold coin if it can't be used to make anything? Particularly if there's no guarantee that anyone else would want a gold coin, either.
In fact, other than for the novelty value, or for future hopes of item implementation, there's no reason to want a gold coin as an end.
Ow! Ow! Ow! Now I have a headache from agreeing with Voodoodog.
The only thing driving gold at the moment is the rarity of it and the fact that no-one quite knows what it will be used for. I imagine whoever finds a gold mine will not regret it.
i bet there wont be stuff like gold weapon, armor or luxus stuff. gold will be used in a other way. maybe to hunt witches or to do something chemically with it.
