Haven and Hearth contrasted to real life

Postby Kionys » Wed Nov 09, 2011 1:24 am

So today I was bored in Global, and we started a talk about doing things in real life that you can do in Haven and Hearth. I'll add a small list here, and add on if you want

~Ahem~

Carry almost ANYTHING over your head!
Raid anthills that are the size of YOU!
Throw spiders in your pocket to look at later!
Clear-cut a forest and have no one care!
Risk your life trying to get a twig in the water!
Throw 7 chickens in a cupboard and have them NOT get away!
Carry more things in your pockets than a backpack can!
Throw 4 twigs on a pine cone, and look at it for 20 minutes!
Have ants eat your shoes!
Hold REAL dreams in your OWN HANDS!
Create a crate out of a single log!

No where specific, I'll raise up a 2UA alt and get him some combat skills if you ever want to go at it
I'm not much of a melee man, more of a MMer as of last world but I wouldn't mind killing some time

Kionys, please stop spamming Inn of Brodgar. One or two threads a week is fine, but what is this, 4 in 3 days? =/

Oh, and also: I've never seen it stated by Jorbtar anywhere that Haven and Hearth was created to be compared to real life. It's a game, games are meant to be fun. Realism plays a key role in some games, but is capped at a certain level, as you can see here. It would be a pain in the ass for boats to be not liftable, for a hard experience in Learning Point gaining, et cetera.
My son, walk not in the way unarmed; because thou knowest not when thy enemy shall come upon thee.
