Playing HNH without the risk aspect

Postby Howlingnorth » Sat Nov 26, 2011 8:05 am

I usually play HNH by having one character. However after seeing other people who use more than one account for fighting so they dont risk their main and thought i would try it. My finding was that unless i was risking everything i couldnt even bring myself to log on out of boredom.
Does anyone else feel the same way?

Most combat alts are pretty much kept logged on long enough to get sliders adjusted. After that, just enough to swap in new curios. If you ever get a surplus of food, log in the alt and do some FEP grinding. Once high quality cheese is available, it doesn't take much to boost stats (q90 MBC, q40 pepper will get you to 300 Str really fast).

I like it, it allows you to actually participate in combat instead of everyone hiding behind brick walls. It also creates a almost proper scale of things within the village economy. When you fight in a battle you won't lose your chef or your blacksmith you'll lose warriors which will be replaced again with warrior or if it has to be with the blacksmith. If it means people do things rather then just sit behind there brick walls its a good thing.

People still mostly just hide behind their brick walls though.
