Why was I banned from the IRC?

I was on the IRC and got banned for being a spambot after I said that the wiki was down.

I assume this was either a mistake, unless people really didnt like me saying that.

If I actually broke any rules please tell me.

Ive been on there for hours and not said a word before with no problems.

I had literally said two things that entire session, the second of which "I think the wiki is down" landed me the ban.

I just tried joining IRC once again and it works fine now.
Not getting any 'you are banned msg'.

It was a problem from the side of the IRC admins if I got it right. Had nothing to do with the HnH players hosting the channel .

Yeah a Sysop at SynIRC used a greedy banmask and accidentally banned everyone on the server. If you're still banned, they're working on fixing it, shouldn't be too long.

They weren't gentle.
