I am new and I need help.

I am new and all I can seem to do is wander around. I am picking up skills but I cant find any signs of life. I cant find where I am on any maps. Can someone help a new guy out?

Right-click anything you haven't seen before. Study curios (any new item that you can drag into your study box). Make sure to buy the foraging skill and to increase your exploration a few points. Stay away from any animal that is larger than a fox, and don't attack a fox either.

well there's global chat (CTRL-C), but this is the equivalent of sticking your penis into a pirahna tank while listening to rebecca black. you can contact other people there but it's very possible that you'd be better off by not

This can be a bad idea, but Global Chat can be useful. Atleast back in world 5 I met a few random people through it. You will still have to do significant travelling and exploring on your end though, until you find a town, runestone, or some landmark that would be noticeable to enough random people to maybe meet you.

Did you get attacked by an animal or ants? Wooden clogs provide some armor protection so they can be broken. You'll need to make new shoes right away, or you need to go into a swamp and get leeches on your feet.
