Tweaks?

Postby Projeear » Wed Nov 30, 2011 5:40 pm

Now, at first I thought it was my imagination, or that I was in some sort of sick and twisted twilight zone... But I found five rabbits in two area-squares, two bears within three areas, several foxes and a boar. Two chicken herds also spawned, and I'm seeing quite a bit more string-based entities.

I've got four leathers out of per-tanning-tub, and haven't had to mass-fill it yet (ie, i'm only throwing one bucket of water in each new-hide time), and I've just relit my fire after I had already used it for cooking once, an hour ago.

Anybody else noticed any possible tweaks?

But but.. the fires...

Don't fires turn to ash after they burn out? Will post when they've burned out...

I don't see any tweaks there. One is simply the RNG. The other has always worked like that.

And what about those fires? Yes they will turn to ash once they burn out.

But... I... They turned to ash this time.

I swear, last time I used them they turned back into a newly-built campfire, then I lit them to what they are in the image above, and now they've turned into ash mounds. So sad.

Damned Twilight Zones and hopes...

I think they turn back to piles of wood if theres no one in the area when they finish burning

they do. if you make a fire inside a house...(idk if you can do it anymore) then leave the house after 7 min's the screen resets and the fire will be just normal wood again.
it does that with any screen.

Screens take 7 min's to reload? it use to...I think it takes 10 min's now.

Its always been random, from what I understand. ~10 minutes sounds like the average though and you'll see some extreme outliers around the 5 minute area and 30 minute areas sometimes. I think the most extreme I've ever heard complained about was after a minute or two but they could have been exaggerating. It just so happens that you'll mostly see the average, is all.

you have to use a hearth fire now and then make another in order to get a camp fire indoors, works like a charm though... indefinite cooking
Oh boy, here I go cheesemaking again...
