Nam-A korean colony

Postby halorocks22 » Sat Dec 03, 2011 4:49 am

NOTICE: Since me and my friend found this ruin when it was destroyed, not all not of the information may be correct.
Also, the acutual name of the colony isn't really Nam. I just used the name of the person who wrote runestones to describe
how the colony got destroyed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My friend and I had just started a CO-OP and I was building a camp and he was exploring when he told me he found
a colony. He said he also found runestones, but it was in korean. So I walked over and read the runestones
(I can read korean) and It apparently said that Nam was the only survivor and he dosen't exactly know how the colony died.
Then I found another runestone nearby which I think wasn't written by Nam saying that there are aliens inside of a cave
(There was a cave near the colony) Then me and my friend went in and found a underground lake so we assumed it was a troll.
(trolls are green, according to my friend) We explored a bit, and he thought it was a underground city. Every shaft we found was
a dead end, meaning that the place probably caved in. Maybe it was intentional. We even found a post inside the place for fast traveling.
So, this was just a interesting little tale I'd thought I would share with you guys. Hope you had fun reading it :)

How come this story gives me the creeps a little? I know it's just destruction but dead end mine shafts, abandoned village, and all in Korean? I am bothered now.
Please, don't hurt me!

i must say i do enjoy this kind of find in game, maybe i'm sadistic, but meeting other people is nice and all (assuming, that is, they aren't out to kill you), but when you find the ruins of a once thriving land, I feel as though there's a lot of mystery surrounding it, and that there's a story that you don't know.
Oh boy, here I go cheesemaking again...

I completely agree! I started playing late in W5 so there were lots of places to explore and pillage. I lived near a big village called Haven's Gate and I always wondered what happened to that place. I got tons of great stuff out of there though when I was getting started. All of my seeds, carts, cheese racks, herbalist tables, etc. In this world I go wandering for hours just to see what there is to find. I feel like a detective exploring the mysteries of the land, wondering what happened at various places or what could have been. I always read runestones hoping maybe there will be some sort of clue.

The person who was scared the most was me(im the friend from the story)
after i found the runestones and saw that was korean i called halo wich he came from our house to check it out but while he was looking at the runestones i was inside the mine.
whiel he was reading the whole alien thing the cave music(i have enders client) along with the story that halo gave me about the aliens added a real creppy/mistery atmosphere. lets just say that while i was exploring and hearing the cave music while i ha headphones on i was constantly waiting for something to happen i felt adrenaline even if nothing was ever gona happen. we dint fdully explore the cave because me and halo were scared of having our torches burn out.
