Currency exchange help!!!

Postby Saif_Mahlik » Thu Jan 05, 2012 2:59 pm

I might be traveling to another country in the near future and I need to know how does currency exchange work in the airport. Do I just find the currency exchange desk and give them say.. $5,000 and they give me the other currency? Do they ask for any ID or proof of who you are? Do they take a while processing the currency or do they hand it over to you there and then?

I am kinda new to this stuff so help me out please

Better carry your money in form of nuggets, not coins, since they could not have [Alloying Crucible] and coal in airport

Erm, I don't really think this is the right place to be asking questions like this? I don't mean the wrong subforum either.
I think your best bet would be to ask someone at the airport help desk. Maybe customs?

Make sure you don't accidentally redirect the plane toward large concrete structures.

You can exchange money in your own country.

Some places limit how much you can exchange at a time.

No need for ID or proof, you're exchanging physical tender, not doing an online transaction. From experience you hand them the cash, they'll hand you back the local currency, minus whatever commission they're taking. Make sure you check around for the best exchange rates, I've found shady places doing a shitty exchange, and just literally across the road, another stall giving a much better rate.

I would be worried about getting that much cash.

You should definitely order it in advance for such a large amount, in my country (UK) you can order your money in advance and pick it up at the airport.

You can also get a "currency card" here which is like a prepaid card, but in the currency of the country you are going to. That is maybe the best option if you really want to take $5000...

Check on the internet, there are price comparison sites for this where you can check different companies rates.

But you shouldn't really ask these things on the forum of a game - especially H&H, I would guess :p
