Are you ready for it?

Its a simple question considering how many people seem to think a new world will make all their problems in this world go away but really, are you ready for it?

Have you got a game plan set up for the first few hours/days/weeks? Have you trawled through the other world threads to find how things happened and developed in those new worlds (even the world 6 screen shot thread here is gold for information)? Have you run practice characters to try and find the best ways to gain LP quickly? If you are in a group have you already set what the HS will be and what everyones roles will be?

No?

Then your problems will not go away. The players that are at the top now have done these things and likely have seen worlds end and start before. They will pass you in a day and you will not even see it happen until you finally find that perfect spot you have been dreaming of since this world has already been taken by them and brick walled...after a week or two.

It is easy to ask for a new world, one where you can feel safe that no one has theft or rage or murder, where all the land around you is free of claims and walls and where you can stand and look everyone else in the eye from an even playing field - problem is that world only lasts about a day.

I apologize for saying this but I think it's a bit meaningless to bring this topic up. There will always be people who want a brand new world for whatever reason. Perhaps they feel the game is unfair, that they have no access to resources, or that a late start means they'll never catch up. Maybe they feel that now that they're better at the game, it'd be best to wait to play until they have a new world to test themselves on.

These are all false assumptions and, quite frankly, stupid. That said, anyone who thinks these things will never realize the fallacy of their thoughts. I'm not saying that they must work endlessly and tirelessly to catch up and if they play more and better that they'll win in the end. I'm saying that there is no winning or losing, simply living a different play style.

There will always be an excuse or rationalization, so save your breath.

Honestly, an hour after the server had gone up people were demanding a restart because they had been left behind and would never catch up. Maybe not even that long. Some people are just sore that they can't be the top dog to their region.

Sorry to lock this, but this is the same discussion every single world and everytime it is the same (kind of) people asking for a new world. We don't need to go through it yet again even though your effort is admirable.
