influx of noobs?

seems like for the past 2-3 days the forums are being overrun by peeps with less than 50 posts to thier name. did a rash of advertising from players go out on some gaming forums?

It's cause the server keeps crashing so noobs come on to complain about it. At least that's my reasoning for it

Indicative of your body of knowledge. It's more likely the people who wrote the guides and wiki are learned of the game and its mechanics than someone who is picking their first apple. While it is not causation it is a very strong correlation. There are cases of people with lots of posts who've demonstrated to the community at large that they have no idea what they're talking about just as much as there are those with only a handful of posts who have demonstrated exceptional intelligence.

The quality and content of your posts is just as valuable, as are the topics you choose to address. Jumping into stupid drama threads will garner you ill will rather than respect more often than not.

If nothing else it gives people something to judge you based upon. It's difficult to trust someone who has presented nothing to base this trust off of. Your posts are sort of like your credit rating in this respect.
