Getting back some land

Hello, I just wondered if there's anyway to get back land, you see me and my friend had a farm which we didn't claimed. One day a douche bag came up and took over all our items house and crops. I've tried to talk with him but you can't

I only ever build within my Claim, and I only ever build outside of it when I know i'll have it covered within 3-4 hours.

Technically, you can retake the land. You have to build an idol nearby, and then the lawspeaker can remove the claim. But that's not an easy goal to achieve for new players, so you have to ask yourself just how much is that land worth to you.
